We wanted to make it as easy as possible for me to shop for the basics they want.

Keeping our promise for convenience in mind, we’ve introduced free shipping on all our product regardless of the item/s you buy or where you are in Sri Lanka. This is just the first step, and you can expect more like this from us soon.

A subscription service for men’s clothes is what we had in mind when we launched Bear Appeal. You might have noticed that subscriptions are not available for purchases on our web store yet, so here’s a small update on that.

Bear Appeal was born out of the need for a convenient solution for men’s shopping. The founders, Pavithra and Thamara have been looking for a “set-it-and-forget-it” service to shop clothing, and when they couldn’t find one, they resolved to build the service they wanted.

Our approach to this was a subscription service with which you can refill your entire t-shirt drawer every month with zero hassle.

You might have noticed that we’ve already started taking pre-orders of t-shirts, but no subscription options. This is because are some technical challenges that we have to overcome before subscriptions are launched as a product of Bear Appeal, chief among them being the payment collection methodology. We want to make things as easy as possible for our customers while maintaining the level of security offered by WooCommerce (the e-commerce platform we use) and WebXPay (the payment gateway we use). We are still working hard to come up with the best solution for this.

Therefore at this point in time, there is not launch date as such set to make subscriptions available. In the meantime, if you want to know more about getting a subscription plan soon, or about anything else, feel free to reach us at [email protected].

Offering free shipping in e-commerce is not a big deal, yet only a handful of e-commerce businesses do it. When Bear Appeal was founded, one of our core principles was to offer convenience to our customers, and that’s why shipping is free on all our products, islandwide!
